Jennifer Lopez is out here thriving / being a legend on her world tour, and stepped out on stage in Spain wearing a look straight out of 2002. What we have here is lace-up leather flares with an ultra low-rise, plus a sparkly bra top and a bedazzled baseball hat for good measure. Truly iconic.
As a reminder, J.Lo initially had to cancel her tour amid a very public breakup from Ben Affleck. She told Interview, "I just needed to be with my kids and myself and really dig down deep into things that were happening in my life. And I’m glad I did, because it was a really difficult time for me. Probably the hardest time of my life, but it was also the best time because I got to do that work on myself."
She also spoke about learning to be on her own, saying "You have to be complete, if you want something that’s more complete. You have to be good on your own. I thought I learned that, but I didn’t. And then, this summer, I had to be like, 'I need to go off and be on my own. I want to prove to myself that I can do that.'"
"Being in a relationship doesn’t define me," she added. "I can’t be looking for happiness in other people. I have to have happiness within myself. I used to say I’m a happy person, but was still looking for something for somebody else to fill, and it’s just like, 'No, I’m actually good.'"
